Did you know it is not necessary to cover your sago palms in the summer? If your sago is grown in the full winter sun, it will acclimatize to the summer sun after its first year. No shade cloth necessary. Cover your palm if it spends the winter in the shade and the summers in the sun; it will not have built up the sunscreen necessary to carry it through the summer unscathed.
